The view from Cerro San Cristobal gives Santiago a spread out look but the city is surprisingly walkable. Thanks to its very good urban planning, there are under ground highways, subway trains, lots of green areas, and picturesque side walks.
To me, Santiago is the epitome of the romantic old and the modern new.
