Balitang Paris (March 2006)

Parisian landscapeI have never been to Paris on a cold winter month. It was on a summer when I visited the City of Lights for the first time and I remember it was hot, muggy, bustling and chaotic. The scene is the exact opposite this time of the year, tranquil, which makes the sirens from the city streets seem irritatingly loud. The trees are bare, the air frosty and everyone dressed in layers and mostly in black. The temperature is nearing 0 degree celsius which probably matches the Parisians' attitude toward outsiders in general (of course I'm only joking!).

Balitang Rio (September 2005)

There are so many things to write about Rio De Janeiro. I scribbled a lot while I was at the beach so I have tons of notes but I'd rather not bore you with details. Rio is so blessed by nature it has beautiful beaches, breathtaking scenery, romantic language, and sensual, laidback and very friendly locals. I loved it!

Balitang Madrid (November 2004)

Plaza MayorMe lo estoy pasando bomba pero extra├▒ando a mijo tanto! I am having a great time so far. My first day at the language school is officially over. While everyone is having their siesta, I am here typing the afternoon away. The best thing about this school is that internet access is free! (Although I wish the keyboard is U.S.style, ha!)

Balitang New York (June 2004)

Two days after shaking the Miami Beach sands off my shoes and flipflops, I started packing yet again for another trip. This time I joined my cousins F & L (who are in the country on a holiday) and wandered the busy streets of the Big Apple. I normally refer to SF as the 'City' in my Balitang SF but this time that city is New York. This is Balitang NYC afterall. I will occasionally mention the City by the Bay as SF.
