La Dolce Vita in Liguria - My memorable travels to Cinque Terre

Riomaggiore - Panoramic viewIt wasn't in our original plan to go to Cinque Terre. I am glad we ended up going to Cinque Terre because the five towns of Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore are absolutely stunning.

Our trip to Cinque Terre was relaxing at the same time a feast to the senses. This Filipino guy was in travel heaven!

La Dolce Vita in Lombardy - My memorable travels to Milan, Lake Como and Bellagio

Milan - Vittorio Emmanuele mallIn Milan, Mijo and I saw Da Vinci's Last Supper and we were in awe. For me, it is one of the must-see masterpieces.

Milan also has more to offer like beautiful churches, grand shopping arcades and more masterpieces. I enjoyed our stay in Milan!

La Dolce Vita in Veneto - My memorable travels in Venice

Venice - GondolasVenice is just like how I had imagined it upclose. Charming, beautiful, decadent, old world. I have never seen anything like it.

Mijo and I absolutely enjoyed this trip. Venice is truly La Serenissima!

La Dolce Vita in Tuscany - My travels to Florence, Pisa and Chianti

Florence - View from the DuomoMolto Bene! This is my canned answer whenever someone asks me how was my birthday trip to Florence.

Six years ago, Mijo suggested we spend my birthday in Rome. We enjoyed it so much that we promised we'll do it again when we get a chance. For my birthday this year, we thought of going to Florence. And what a birthday trip it was! Just like Rome, Florence or Firenze in Italian, is dotted with churches, arts, plazas, cafes and antiquities. I couldn't even tell you my Top 3 favorites because I have so many and I don't even know where to begin.

Balitang Roma (March 2006)

Il Coloseo
I wanted to spend the entire trip solely in Paris. Mijo was itching to go to Rome since neither one of us has been there. He argued we didn't even need to add a single cent if we include Rome to the itinerary, the hotel and flights to-from Paris. It is just I hate the packing-traveling-unpacking that is involved in a hectic travel schedule.
